...and THIS is why I love Rexburg.

Sometimes I ask myself, why do I love this place so much? It is small, the hangout place is Walmart, it is always windy, the winters are miserable, the girl to guy ratio is pretty far from even....yeah. But then I take the time to think about why I like this place. The campus is GORGEOUS, in the summers it is SO fun to be up here because there are a million things to do, the people up here are absolutely incredible, it is the perfect college town, there are two different dollar theaters, I can enjoy playing sports here that I couldn't play other places, and then there is this building at the top of the hill. You can see it wherever you go in town. According to President Eyring, the whole unfolding of this beautiful building on temple hill, over looking the campus is nothing short of a miracle. I would have to agree. It is absolutely phenomenal.

This temple is one of my favorites. The whole theme of the temple dedication was separating the wheat from the tares. All inside the temple, the furniture, pictures, carpeting, and stained glass windows all have something to do with wheat. I have been thinking about this a lot lately. I may share some insights later...but it amazes me how the Lord works and how he gives us promptings time and time again to help us, to bless us, and to lead us in becoming more refined. More perfected. More like Him. The temple on the hill constantly reminds me of His love, of my Savior's sacrifice, the covenants I have made, and it strengthens my desire to become better, find joy in the journey, and to look to the Light on the hill, knowing that all things will work out. We are so blessed.
And THAT is why I love Rexburg.

So, I came up to Rexburg to do some job hopes that I would beat the rush of crazy 17 and 18 year old freshman, and intense sophomores through seniors in the race of finding the few job openings there are in Rexburg. So I moved into my apartment (with great roommates AGAIN I might add) on monday, and tuesday I started the job hunt. I woke up everyday this week DETERMINED to find a job before Monday when all the other students arrive.

Here is where I have applied:
Deseret Book
Big 5 Sporting Goods
Radio Shack
Wells Fargo
Motel 8
Citizens Community Bank
Down East Outfitters
Frontier Pies
Best Western
Dolce Vita

the large handful of employers who say "we aren't hiring so thanks anyway."

Wells Fargo
Radio Shack

Places Left to Apply:
The Hospital (I would LOVE to work there)
and a few food places.

Wish me luck
