My new Mascot

Here is my new mascot for seminary this year. The Madison Bobcats. A little more masculine then the Shelley Russets, but, let me tell you, they are proud to be potatoes. And to be completely honest. I REALLY miss Shelley. I loved it there. But Madison is great, the kids seem great so far, and I am excited to not have to make that long drive. A major perk to being a teacher, I get in to all the sporting events for FREE.

So, I guess all I have to say is.....................

GO BOBCATS!! Here is to a new school year!

I go back....

This movie brings me back to my days and years of playing basketball. Pep talks in the locker room, close games, friendships that got stronger with every win and loss.....some of the best times I remember of High School and middle School.

Much Needed Vacation!

**I don't know how to change to format of this so here you go, pictures first then text***

After taking Anatomy and Physiology/Anat. and Phys. Lab, Microbiology/Microbiology lab, Kinesiology/Kinesiology Lab, and Exercise Physiology....being Relief Society President, coaching some sports on campus and working, I was ready for a much needed break when my summer semester was over. I was 100% worn out. Classes were all passed, last minute duties and responsibilities with Relief Society were over temporarily, and work could now be done from anywhere....so I figured it was time for a break. I hadn't had more then 2 weeks since before the mission to just relax and catch up on a good book, (which is no ones fault but my own.....my dad says I am never completely happy unless I have so many things I am involved in that I am on the verge of a breakdown, which is partly true).

So, it was time for a road trip.

Now....for the details of the road trip.
3000 miles driven
45 hours in the car
Visited: Provo, Salt Lake City, West Valley City, St. George, Las Vegas, Barstow, Fresno, Sacramento, Elko, kaysville, Centerville, and Rexburg.
Family
Mission Reunion
Mission Comps
Good Friends
Seminary work done
Lots of Pictures Taken
Hours and hours of laughing and relaxing
A few GREAT books read
What does all this equal: The best three week vacation ever.
Then reality hit again today. Oh well!! Bring it on. I am ready for it.
See facebook for more pictures! :)

Inconceivable.

You know, I am not one to get real involved in politics. I vote, and I have strong feelings on specific subjects, but I never engage in any type of political conversations unless I am asking my parents for clarification. They usually send me to find out stuff on my own about it, so that I am making my own decisions as far as where I stand politically.

However. The overturning of Prop 8 is inconceivable. I can't believe it. Well, I can, but it is sad to see how the family is being so attacked by the adversary. Satan may have won this battle, but we know who will be victorious in the end.

It makes me grateful for a functional family, without many huge trials, with a mom and a dad who love each other and are faithful to each other. I am so blessed to have been raised in the Lord's true church and to know how important the family unit is.

As members of the church....we really are blessed. All we have to do is obey and everything will work out well in the end.
